Je m'appelle Nicolas Astruc, j'ai 36 ans et je pratique la photographie comme une manière d'observer le monde.
Attiré par les environnements urbains, je m'intéresse aux instants discrets qui passent souvent inaperçus : une lumière qui transforme une rue, une silhouette isolée, un reflet, une architecture qui dialogue avec une présence humaine. Mon travail se situe à la frontière entre la photographie de rue et une approche plus graphique, où chaque image est pensée comme une composition.
Le noir et blanc occupe une place importante dans mon travail, car il me permet d'aller à l'essentiel. Lorsque la couleur s'impose, elle devient un élément narratif à part entière, capable de renforcer une atmosphère ou de guider le regard.
À travers mes séries, je cherche à révéler la poésie du quotidien, ces moments suspendus où la ville semble ralentir et où l'ordinaire devient singulier.

My name is Nicolas Astruc. I am 36 years old, and I practice photography as a way of observing the world.
Drawn to urban environments, I am fascinated by the subtle moments that often go unnoticed: light transforming a street, a solitary figure, a reflection, or architecture interacting with human presence. My work lies at the intersection of street photography and a more graphic approach, where each image is carefully composed.
Black and white plays a central role in my work, allowing me to strip away distractions and focus on what matters most. When color naturally asserts itself, it becomes a narrative element in its own right, capable of enhancing an atmosphere or guiding the viewer's eye.
Through my series, I seek to reveal the poetry of everyday life—those suspended moments when the city seems to slow down and the ordinary becomes extraordinary.
